'' Providing children with the necessary tools and guiding them in a loving, understanding and compassionate way through yoga and mindfulness is the key for the next generation ''
In today’s very busy life we tend to rush from one task, place or situation to another, forgetting to pay attention to what we just did! We take things for granted and fail to count our blessings. Unfortunately as parents, teachers and childminders we pass on this to the next generation. It is critical to stop, take a breath and enjoy each moment of action or just being, in order to savor the beauty of our lives. How great would that be if we could teach our children or students to enjoy such wonderful, present moments by simply guiding them and giving them a few appropriate tools?! Yoga has shown to have several benefits for children!
'' Chakras are energy centers of awareness, that bridge the materialistic world with our spiritual higher being ''
Chakra is a Sanskrit word that translates to wheel or disk and in yoga, meditation and Ayurveda these refer to the wheels of vital life forge energy which is also called Prana. There are 7 chakras that align our spine starting from the base of the spine coiling all the way up to the crown. Each chakra corresponds to nerve centers in our body, as well as major organs that reflect on our psychological, emotional and spiritual states. Healing our chakras by keeping them open, aligned and fluid, allows for positive and renewed energy to flow-in keeping us healthy and vibrant! The starting point is bringing awareness to your body-mind-soul and allowing for the process of cleansing to occur!
" Living in the preset moment is truly the way to enjoy life to its fullest "
Are you living in the MOMENT? Being present, more conscious of life as it happens may seem challenging in our very busy day-to-day lives, however cultivating mindfulness within this busy life that we have created for ourselves will help you clear your mind, find balance, achieve those goals and live happier! In addition, research has shown that when we live mindfully, we are actually more productive (Lavretsky et al., 2012). So, take a moment to fully understand what mindfulness means & how this can be incorporated in your & your family’s daily lives...
" Teaching children breathing exercises is like giving them a life-long tool for stress management that can ultimately also help find that vital inner peace "
